The good employment situation, the wide variety of services and housing options as well as the excellent remote work connections influence people’s decision to move,” says Integration Services Manager Anne Tullila.
In addition to the factors mentioned above, safety also comes up often in discussions with those moving to the area. The people moving to Kalajoki are looking for safety and stability, a peaceful place where life is good with plenty of opportunities to be active. “The coronavirus epidemic may also have made people think more about safety. They want to live spaciously, but still stay close to services. Helping those moving here has changed a bit due to the coronavirus epidemic, but we manage by telephone and via remote connections,” Anne continues and welcomes new people moving to Kalajoki.
