COVID-19 passport
The COVID-19 passport is the EU Digital COVID Certificate, which can be downloaded from Omakanta (My Kanta Pages).
The EU Digital COVID Certificate contains three different certificates: a certificate of a COVID-19 vaccination, a certificate of a COVID-19 test result and a certificate of recovery. All three certificates also serve as a COVID-19 passport. A COVID-19 passport may be required for those over 16 years of age.
The operator may introduce a COVID-19 passport during the existing regional corona restrictions as a condition when entering events.
The Regional State Administrative Agency guides operators in using the COVID-19 passport. Information for citizens on the COVID-19 passport has been comprehensively compiled in the kanta.fi service: Kanta.fi – corona passport page
Obtaining a COVID-19 passport
You can obtain a COVID-19 passport, i.e. a certificate of vaccinations received, a test result or a certificate of recovery from the Omakanta (My Kanta Pages) service using your online banking ID, by printing or downloading the certificate to a mobile phone, for example. For those who do not have access to the Omakanta (My Kanta Pages) service, a COVID-19 passport can be printed by healthcare professionals upon request. The City of Kalajoki will arrange the printing of the COVID-19 passport for individuals. The schedule will be announced at a later date. Should you require the passport urgently it can be obtained from a health centre.
If you have not received the full COVID-19 vaccination and need a COVID-19 test result for travelling or to obtain a COVID-19 passport in order to enter events or restaurants that require it, testing will not be provided in public health care (e.g. a health centre).
For testing, you must use a private service provider at your own expense. The exception is young people aged 16 – 17 years of age. The COVID-19 passport applies to those over 16 years of age.
Asymptomatic individuals will not be tested in public health care without a separate prescription from an infectious disease doctor, and the entry into force of the use of the COVID-19 passport will not change this national policy.
When the restrictions come into force in our area we request that you apply for a COVID-19 passport from a health centre only when you know that you will need it in the near future. In this way, we will also be able to secure other important health services despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
