Family day care

Family day care comprises care and early childhood education in a small group in a homelike environment at the caregiver or child’s home, with the caregiver providing full-day care for up to 4 children and part-time care for one child.
Group family day care is one form of family day care. A group family day care home looks after a total of 8–12 children between the ages of 1 and 6. The operations of a group family day care home are based on early childhood education, with an emphasis on childcare and upbringing.
Family day care is available around the city. If necessary, substitute care will be arranged for children in family day care with another family day care provider or at a group family day care home or day care centre.
