Kalajoen lukion lakitustilaisuus

Kalajoki Upper Secondary School was founded in 1957. The first 11 students graduated from the school in 1960.

The school is currently attended by 300 students from Kalajoki and other parts of Finland. The cornerstones of the upper secondary school’s operations are its wide range of available courses, high-quality teaching, specialisation studies, international activities and the guiding of students towards an approach that emphasises a sense of community, being active and thinking for yourself. The school pays a great deal of attention to the students’ well-being and comfort. In addition to engaging in daily dialogue with the students, the school also conducts an annual customer satisfaction survey for students in Year 2 of the upper secondary school.

Students who have graduated from the school have been highly successful in moving on to further studies.

The upper secondary school is located in the Merenoja Sports and Learning Centre along with a secondary school and a library. The school facilities are modern and comfortable and equipped with up-to-date teaching technology.
