Food poisonings and complaints
If you, as a customer, suspect that you have gotten food poisoning, please notify the food control authorities of this as soon as possible. If you have any of the suspected food left, please keep it in a cold place for possible laboratory examinations. The sooner a suspected case of food poisoning is reported, the sooner the investigation can commence.
If a company receives a report of a suspected case of food poisoning, the company is required by law to immediately report it to the food control authorities.
Food poisoning usually runs its course relatively quickly, but may in some cases cause long-term consequences among persons belonging to high-risk groups (such as children under school age, pregnant or breastfeeding women, elderly persons and persons with reduced resistance).
