The Ohjaamo & Virtaamo guidance services start operating

The City of Kalajoki is starting a new project, Ohjaamo & Virtaamo Kalajoki, which will offer guidance services regarding employment and different life stages.

The Ohjaamo service welcomes young people and directs them to education, employment and other support measures, depending on the young person’s situation. The service also welcomes employers to meet and employ young people and other jobseekers.

The Virtaamo service serves other jobseekers who are in a challenging position on the labour market. Two employment instructors/coaches work at Ohjaamo and Virtaamo, and other service providers and experts will be involved when necessary.

The goal of Ohjaamo and Virtaamo is that the customer receives the services they need from a single point of contact without appointment. The purpose of the services is also to evaluate the customer’s situation individually and guide and support them in making plans, when necessary. The project will also be used to develop the services of an employment coach for different life stages.

The opening ceremony for Ohjaamo & Virtaamo will be held in the centre of Kalajoki in the spring – follow our announcements!

The services are enabled by the ESF; the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment and the Work; and Activity Services of the City of Kalajoki. We are currently seeking two instructors for this three-year project.
