There is a joint transportation by Pohjanmaan Taksi Oy to Oulu airport from Kalajoki city centre and Hiekkasärkät. Raahe District Business Services has publicly asked for bids for this service in 2019. This service is there to ease up business and leisure traveling and to make the region more reachable. The service is being sponsored by the cities of Siikajoki, Raahe, Pyhäjoki and Kalajoki.

One way trip from Kalajoki costs 45€. Groups and small children travel for less cost. This service is available from Monday to Friday, except on midweek holidays.

The transport operates on demand and it always has to be reserved. Morning transportation has to be reserved the night before by 8 p.m. Otaxi’s phone number is 0600 300 10. The transportation is available 4 times a day at the moment.
